Final Sale
Words & Music by Brooke Lunderville, 2005.
A serious song! Everyone should write one, but maybe one is enough. I wrote this about how I felt when someone I never got along with died. Ouch. That B+ is a B augmented, although what I actually play on the line is a walkup which works great on the banjo and sounds weird on guitar.

I thought when I first met you all we’d ever do is fight	Em C Em C
I wish I hadn’t tried so hard to prove that I was right G Cm G Em
Now that you’re gone I guess I got the last word Em C Em C
It isn’t worth as much as I thought G Cm G

And I’d take it all back if I thought that you could hear	G B+ Em G7
	But it’s too late / Final sale. C Cm G Cm G
I know that there is a lesson for me here G B+ Em G7
But I just feel alone C Cm G

I still don’t like you; I don’t think you liked anyone
You were so angry you burned everything you touched
I was waiting for indifference when that phone call finally came
Imagine my surprise to find regret

And I’d take it all back if I thought that you could hear
But it’s too late / Final sale.
I know this is a lesson I should learn
	But I just feel alone
